Meet Our Expert: Dr. Armand Dorian

Armand Dorian, M.D., FACEP, was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He was the valedictorian of his class, and graduated with a bachelors in Biology with an emphasis in Philosophy from UCLA. He received his MD from the John A Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii, and continued residency training at the prestigious UCLA Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Upon graduation and Board Certification, he joined the staff at both UCLA/Westwood and UCLA/Olive View hospitals, teaching the new generation Emergency Medicine physicians. He subsequently became a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He became the Director of the Emergency Department at Verdugo Hills Hospital, and was appointed to the position of Chief of Development and Treasurer.
In addition, Dr. Dorian also developed a medical iPhone application titled "Dr. Dorian's Instant Medicine." Dr. Dorian is also an Ambassador for LYFE Kitchen, a new restaurant and retail food line, created by the ex-Global President of McDonald's in an attempt to create the first, real, healthy and affordable retail food chain.
Along with medicine, Dr. Dorian has become familiar with media and has often been in front of and behind the camera. He was a lead actor in a television series on The Learning Channel called "Untold Stories of the ER" for 3 seasons. He then acted and consulted on another show called "Diagnosis X". He subsequently worked as the medical consultant for "Grey's Anatomy", "Days of our Lives" and "ER". He was an actor/expert for the show "The Seven Signs of the Apocalypse" on the History Channel and a lead actor/physician/host for the Spike network's "The Deadliest Warrior". Without a doubt, Dr. Dorian's most impressive and cherished accomplishment is his marriage to his beautiful wife, Aslin Dorian, and their three beautiful children, Avand (7 yrs) Hooys (5 yrs) and Jivan (14 mo).
