In 2007, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of Iran, made international headlines when he denied the existence of gay Iranians. Reza, one of the stars of "Shahs of Sunset" on Bravo, is living proof of the opposite: he is a proud, openly gay Iranian.
