The Jeff Probst Show

We had some fun on today's show with the Southwick family, who are featured on the National Geographic show "Doomsday Preppers." Because the Southwicks are prepared for all kinds of disasters and situations, we thought we'd see how they'd react if we staged an earthquake right here on our stage!

Our crew did a great job with the sound effects, camera work, and props, and can see the end result of our hard work right here in this video. 

We really did have a weather-related event the day we taped this show, though. Due to a rare Los Angeles rainstorm, we experienced a major power outage just minutes before we were supposed to start taping! There was a gigantic short in one of our circuit breakers, and we were left without any lights for about a half hour until we were able to get it fixed. There’s nothing like a power outage to keep you on your toes!
