Celebrity makeup artist Scott Barnes has worked with dozens of hot Hollywood stars - everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Beyonce to Celine Dion. Now he's sharing all his beauty secrets in his new book, 'Face to Face'! We caught up with Scott backstage to learn more.

"'Face to Face' is full of makeup and how-to tips," says Scott. "How to get a 'look,' and understanding how to use basic things, like mascara. Or how to use an eyeliner. Or how to create drama, or the smoky eye. What kind of lashes to purchase, and how to use them. So it's a little bit of everything!"

In addition to learning the tricks of the trade, readers can also see their favorite stars undergo amazing transformations. "It's got about twenty celebrities in here, everybody ranging from Kathy Griffin, Paris Hilton, Vanessa Williams, Kristin Cavallari. Celebrities have to wear makeup every day. It's part of their job. But what if they had the chance to be anything, what would they want to be transformed into? Kelly Rowlands wanted to become a cheetah. Vanessa Williams wanted to be white. So that was really fun. The celebrities really got involved in it and were part of it, and they talk about it – they talk about the experience, and what it was like for them." 

One of the things Scott is asked most about is skin, and he has this advice for anyone looking to clear up their complexion:  "The secret to getting flawless skin is really three things: proper rest, lots of water, and exercise. I really think those things make for the best skin in the world!"
