It might be hard to imagine that an 8 year old can make much of a difference in this world, but that's exactly what Vivienne Harr is doing. She saw a photo of two young Nepalese slaves carrying heavy stones on their backs, and was heartbroken. She knew she had to do something.

So Vivienne opened a lemonade stand, and decided to donate all the profits to charity. She doesn't have a fixed price. Instead, she asks that patrons "pay what's in their heart," and she's been averaging about $18 a glass! So far, she's raised $50,000... and is working towards a goal of $150,000!

All of the proceeds benefit Not For Sale an organization that fights human trafficking and modern-day slavery around the world. Would you like to make a donation at Vivienne's lemonade stand? No need to drive over to her street - just visit Vivienne's website. At www.makeastandlemonade.com you can learn more about Vivienne and buy your own virtual cup!

Finally, here's the image that inspired Vivienne's lemonade stand in the first place. It was taken by photographer Lisa Kristine, and you can visit her website to learn more about her work and how to contribute to ending slavery.
