The Jeff Probst Show

Jeff met an extraordinary woman on the premiere episode of 'The Jeff Probst Show,' and we think you should meet her too! Kelly Pozzoli had everything going her way: she was a happily married school teacher with a great group of friends. But then, at 31 years old, Kelly was diagnosed with cervical cancer.

The cancer went into remission after a course of radiation and chemotherapy, but a few months later, it returned, more aggressive than ever. Kelly was told that she might not live to see her 33rd birthday. Despite her diagnosis, Kelly has proven to be an inspiration - she continues to have a healthy, positive outlook, and on today's show, she tells Jeff about all the ways she says YES to living the fullest life possible.

Kelly has been chronicling her journey since the diagnosis on her candid and honest blog, called 'One Big Exhale'. Recent topics on 'One Big Exhale' include Kelly's path to baldness and her relationship with her doctor.

Here's an excerpt from 'One Big Exhale.' In this post, called 'It's Getting Hot in Here,' Kelly explains what it feels like to experience a hot flash, which she just started getting, thanks to her premature menopause:

So, for those of you who have never experienced a hot flash, let me break it down for you. Imagine yourself sitting in a movie theater. You have on a jacket because, as is typical with movie theaters, it's chilly in there. Shortly after the previews start to roll, it feels like you've lit yourself on fire from the inside.  You take off the jacket. A sweat 'stache sprouts on your upper lip. Every square inch of your skin is suddenly clammy. It's literally all you can do to not rip every stitch of clothing from your body and throw your naked burning self onto the cool concrete floor.  But don't let anyone see that you feel like you're inside an incinerator. No, that would be embarrassing.  And by the end of the first preview, you have your jacket back on because everything has returned to normal.  That is what a hot flash is like.  I've learned to dress in layers.
